Joseph Rex Kerrick of San Rafael: White Order of Thule co-founder still active in Nazi Occultism and New Age Circles

Joseph Rex Kerrick of San Rafael is a white supremacist occultist and the one time co-founder of the esoteric neo-Nazi society “The White Order of Thule” (WOT). The WOT was a prison zine for esoteric “Aryanist” viewpoints with an outside following of neo-Nazis who considered themselves more sophisticated than their movement rivals at the time. WOT formed in the mid-90s alongside groups like American Front, Hammerskins, and National Alliance, who they competed with for membership. Modeled off of the German occultic precursor to the NDSAP, “the Thule Society, members were expected to engage in ritual, education, and progress through a tiered reading list containing Mein Kampf, Siege by James Mason, and Might is Right (a racist text favored by the Gilroy Garlic Festival shooter).

The White Order of Thule split from the New Zealand Black Order of Pan Europa over the tolerance of homosexuality by then leader Max Frith, and merged left-hand path satanism with Odinism and new age takes on volkisch beliefs, a bizarre fusion resulting from the mix of prison boneheads and racist art school students.

White Order of Thule (WOT)’s publication “the Abyss” pedaled the works of “Esoteric Hitlerist” Miguel Serrano, and while still connected to the Black Order of Pan Europa gave international distribution to Order of Nine Angles publications allegedly for the first time. Despite members rarely meeting in person, and disavowing violent actions in language only, the WOT produced an attempted bombing plot in 2002, by high ranking WOT member Leo Felton and Erica Chase. The two appear to have been influenced by William Luther Pierce’s race-war fantasy “The Turner Diaries” and were arrested for using counterfeited money in preparation for an attack using a fertilizer bomb similar to the Oklahoma City bombing, targets may have included the Anti-Defamation League’s Boston Office, the New England Holocaust Memorial, director Steven Spielberg, and Rev. Jesse Jackson.

Kerrick had allegedly left the group he helped found prior to the planned attack and has attempted to distance himself from both Leo Felton and Erica Chase, however his continued involvement in organized white supremacist activity (including a recent Red Ice Creations “Radio 3Fourteen” interview), online presence in various neo-Nazi chatrooms and his repeated celebration of leaderless resistance and the 2019 Christchurch attack suggest a more active and formative role in urging on racist violence.

Once drawing praise from career Holocaust-denier Ernst Zundel and Turner Diaries author and National Alliance founder William Luther Pierce, now the 79 year old Kerrick spouts off his particular brand of new age nazi esotericism to whoever will listen to him on Gab, Telegram, Facebook, and on a series of rambling white date/Manosphere style wordpress sites and empty self hosted forums. Most recently Kerrick was spotted in the “Church of Aryanity” telegram group. The founder Aaron “Chappy” Chapman, a former Traditionalist Worker’s Party member and racist tattoo artist, was identified by the EPIK FAIL leak as living in Madisonville, KY.
